Its possible fluff made its way to the wheel optical sensor. My VPN cannot auto sign on luckily and my Steam account still works, phew.īut I cant see how a hacker can damage a mouse. The icons for VPN and Steam are nowhere near each other, it wasnt accidentally done. as though someone had remote control of my PC and tried to get access to my Steam account.
Oh yes, when I turned the monitor on, many programs had been opened including my VPN, Steam.

Using the mouse software or not makes no difference. When I awoke scroll down needs to be spun to get any function. The odd thing, it was fine when I went to bed last night, PC left on. I managed to pull the hair out with very thin wire and all was well again until today. There was an issue 6 months back with the scroll wheel getting stiff due to cat hair wrapping round the spindle, such fine hair it gets in places that dont exist. Then it works very well but its hard to control at that speed. When scrolling up it is fine but scrolling down doesnt do anything unless spinning the mousewheel medium fast. My fingers were crossed with the G502 Hero, it is a superb mouse, but after 14 months the scroll wheel is acting weirdly. Its been an unlucky period with mice over the last 5 years+, everything I buy failing before the grim reaper should appear.
